Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Jenny Willis is an Integrative Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and health coach. She incorporates a humanistic, holistic approach to psychiatric practice through psychotherapy and responsible medication management. She has an insight-oriented, trauma-informed style that aims to treat clients from a whole perspective, integrating considerations on diet, lifestyle, beliefs, sociocultural contexts, as well as neurochemistry. Her areas of expertise and interest include women’s mental health, postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, dementia, alcohol use disorder and integrative approaches to mental health. Jenny incorporates the Sinclair Method to reduce alcohol cravings and treat alcohol use disorder.
Jenny has worked within the healthcare arena since 1992. She completed her Undergraduate Nursing Degree at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. As a Nurse, she worked in multiple areas to include Emergency Medicine, Trauma ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Burn Unit. Jenny worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years before returning to Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York to earn a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Psychiatry. She is board certified to provide medication management and psychotherapy. She has experience working with adults, children, active military members and veterans.
